\nMeeting between the President of the Larnaka District Local Government Organization and the President of the Cyprus Association of Scientific Valuers\n<\/p>\n
\nIssues concerning the operation of the Larnaka District Local Government Organization, four months after its establishment, were discussed by the President of the Organization, Mr. Angelos Hadjicharalambous, and the President of the Cyprus Association of Scientific Valuers, Mr. Polis Kourousides. The discussion focused on matters related to development licensing and the measures being taken to expedite procedures.\n<\/p>\n
\nAmong other points, Mr. Hadjicharalambous provided an update on the issues and challenges the Organization is called upon to manage, noting that the sooner the budget is approved and the recruitment of qualified personnel proceeds, the faster the performance and efficiency of services to citizens will improve. He also emphasized that the Organization continuously strives to enhance the services it provides to the public, with the ultimate goal of improving quality of life.\n<\/p>\n
\nMr. Kourousides, on his part, affirmed that the Association supports the reform of local government, as well as the new institution of district local government organizations. In this context, he submitted a memorandum of proposals. He noted that there is alignment of views on many issues and highlighted that accelerating licensing procedures will have a direct and positive impact on the real estate market.\n<\/p>\n
