{"id":15445,"date":"2024-11-11T15:00:56","date_gmt":"2024-11-11T13:00:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eoal.org.cy\/?p=15445"},"modified":"2026-04-21T23:33:45","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T20:33:45","slug":"measures-are-underway-to-speed-up-development-licensing-procedures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eoal.org.cy\/en\/measures-are-underway-to-speed-up-development-licensing-procedures\/","title":{"rendered":"Measures are underway to speed up development licensing procedures"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><br \/>\nMeeting between the President of the Larnaka District Local Government Organization and a DISY Delegation led by President Annita Demetriou<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\nThe President of the Larnaka District Local Government Organization (DLGOL), Mr. Angelos Hadjicharalambous, held a meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives and President of DISY, Mrs. Annita Demetriou, along with a delegation of the party.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nDuring the meeting, Mr. Hadjicharalambous outlined the main problems and challenges arising from the Local Government Reform, placing particular emphasis on issues related to the licensing sector. He stressed the need for simplification of procedures, with priority given to addressing the complexity of the \u201cHippodamos\u201d electronic system.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nFurthermore, Mr. Hadjicharalambous referred to the management plan for pending cases and the actions undertaken by DLGOL to accelerate the issuance of permits, including the procurement of services, overtime work by the Licensing Directorate staff, and the announcement of four new Licensing Officer positions.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nHe also noted that the approval of the Organization\u2019s Budget has created the necessary conditions for proper and immediate staffing, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and improving services provided to citizens.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nMrs. Annita Demetriou assured the President of DLGOL of DISY\u2019s full support for the Organization, reaffirming the party\u2019s commitment to ongoing cooperation and engagement with District Local Government Organizations.
