Subsequently, the Executive Engineer of DLGOL, Mr. Iakovos Iakovidis, presented the responsibilities of the Organization, highlighting ongoing projects such as the transition to green technologies and the implementation of smart systems, aimed at improving the quality of services provided to the citizens of Larnaka.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nProfessor Torben Lund Skovhus from VIA University College (Denmark) presented Denmark\u2019s water network system, including water production, treatment and distribution, as well as the technologies used for filtration and oxygenation of drinking water. He also analyzed the techniques applied in Denmark for repairing damages in water supply networks and the challenges related to microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC).\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThis initiative provided an excellent opportunity for the exchange of ideas and discussion on water network management practices in Denmark and Cyprus, with particular focus on the challenges posed by microbiologically influenced corrosion.
