The Larnaka Water Authority secures approximately 7.5 million cubic metres of water per year to meet the needs of its current customers. The largest quantity of water comes from the Government Water Supply Systems (G.W.S.), while small quantities of water continue to be obtained from the Larnaka Water Authority’s own boreholes. The purchase price of water from the G.W.S., as determined by the Council of Ministers, currently amounts to €0.82/m³. Of this amount, €0.05/m³ represents the resource cost and the environmental cost.
