The Department of Labour Inspection, following its previous Announcement on the signing of the Joint Policy Statement on the implementation of the Safety Card (Safe Pass) in the Construction Sector, announces that a project of the Human Resources Development Authority is being implemented to provide free 6-hour basic safety and health training to 15,000 persons entering for work on a construction site, including architects, civil engineers, foremen, supervisors, skilled tradesmen and labourers. The programmes, which will be implemented until September 2026, are funded by the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Mechanism – NextGenerationEU through the Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan.
