On Monday, 18 November 2024, the District Local Government Organization of Larnaka (DLGOL) proceeded with the signing of the Agreement for Construction Contract C5, “Design – Build – Operate – Maintain” of Phase III of the Larnaka Sewerage System, with the company “Michaniki Perivallontos S.A.”.

Construction Contract C5, with a total value of €8,457,698.00 excluding VAT, constitutes the final construction contract of Phase III of the Project (Municipality of Dromolaxia–Meneou and the communities of Kiti, Pervolia and Tersefanou) for which an agreement is being signed.

The scope of Construction Contract C5 includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance (Design – Build – Operate – Maintain) of eight (8) central wastewater pumping stations and four (4) local wastewater pumping stations, including their auxiliary works and the required interconnections with the sewer networks of the communities, as well as with the main pressurised transmission pipelines currently under construction as part of the other four ongoing Phase III contracts.

The duration of the Contract is thirty-six (36) months for the design and construction of the pumping stations, commencing immediately, and an additional five (5) years for their operation and maintenance.

The signing of the Agreement was attended by representatives of the Water Development Department, DLGOL, the company “Michaniki Perivallontos S.A.” and the Project’s Consulting Engineers.

The Project is implemented under the Cohesion Policy Programme “THALIA 2021–2027” with co-financing from the European Union.
