The District Local Government Organization of Larnaka (DLGOL), in the framework of cooperation with the American University of Cyprus and social corporate responsibility, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the aim of developing the relations between them for mutual benefit and for the benefit of secondary education.

The present Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 29/10/2024 at the American University of Cyprus (AUCY) in Larnaka, by the President of DLGOL Mr. Angelos Hadjicharalambous and Mr. Christos Karas, member of the Board of Directors of the American University of Cyprus (AUCY).

The Memorandum includes the provision of scholarships based on criteria to be determined by DLGOL for admission to study programmes offered by the American University of Cyprus in Larnaka, thus enhancing the potential of young people and promoting access to quality education.

The President of the Larnaka District Local Government Organization, Mr. Hadjicharalambous, thanked the American University of Cyprus for the cooperation and noted that DLGOL will support this effort, contributing to the local community and promoting education as a means of progress and development of Larnaka, both in the field of education and in the universities of the district.

In addition, both institutions look forward to seeing the positive impact of this cooperation on the future of secondary education and Larnaka.
